1 kilo (2.2 pounds) Red Cabbage 1. Cut the cabbage in pieces and remove the core,
peel and core the apple. Shredd both the cabbage and the apple. 2. Peel and slice the onion, melt the butter in a saucepan and add cabbage, onion apple, salt, vinegar, syrup and cloves. Let simmer for about thirty minutes. At the end, add if needed more salt, black-currant syrup or water to thin. Don't forget to taste. Serve together with for instance christmas food or just together with the sunday-steak. |
