Brunede kartofler recipe, Danish sugar fried potatoes


Brunede kartofler recipe, caramelized sugar fried potatoes from Denmark.

Serves four:

750 grams (1.6 pounds) small Potatoes
25 grams (0.05 pounds) Sugar

Butter

1. Boil the potatoes with their skins on. When cool enough to handle, peel them.

2. Melt the sugar in a deep frying pan, when it turns golden, add the butter.

3. Mix the potatoes with the sugar and butter mixture until warm and coated.

Serve with pork (flæskesteg) and rödkål (red cabbage).
